    I prefer pure English to genuine English. I don't think there is such a thing as fake English. No, not even when American's speak it.

    Well, I could imagine the context being e.g. to some student whose English writing contains Japanisms not found in 'proper' English. Though I can't tell if the Japanese sentence can be used that way.
