Mi dirus: "Ĝi estas difektita" - aŭ: "Ĝi difektiĝis."
"Difekti" estas transitiva verbo, kiel ankaŭ "rompi".
Ĉu oni dirus "Ĝi estas rompa"? (= rompanta) Ne, oni dirus "Ĝi estas rompita" aŭ "Ĝi rompiĝis". Ĉu mi eraras?

Cetere mi ne dirus, ke la "hejtado" difektiĝas, sed la "hejtilo".
Mi ankaŭ preferus "studentOhejmo"n.
