NNC: I've never seen "deceased" used as a verb before...

The dictionary lists it as a valid verb... but I agree in that I've never seen it used like this. It sounds funny, even ;-)
"Why didn't Frank come with us?"
"Oh, he deceased yesterday."
"Really? Hmm, maybe I should decease tomorrow..."

that would mean the guy predeceased you...

yes it does. It's just not so popular nowadays...It will be back with the next trend...it is cyclic, like disco...

I think the NNC tag can be removed. It's certainly not the most common way to say it, but it's okay. You're probably most likely to hear it as a joke though...

The New Oxford American Dictionary gives this as archaic. I'm removing the @NNC and adding archaic.
