Annotation: "The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men, / Gang aft agley."--Robert Burns (1759-1796). "To a Mouse," 1785. This is Scots English.

I changed it from 'schemes' to 'plans' as that's the more common expression in English; and added the "often go awry" part.
