This is from a copyrighted song ("Art of Life" by X Japan).
Can a single sentence like this be under copyright? Someone could come up with it without knowing the song or even the band.
And
"I don't know the meaning of love."
is part of the song "Call Me" by Jessica Lea Mayfield.

Copyrighting simple sentences like that is downright stupid and anyone wishing to enforce it is a nasty person at the least. :<

Nowadays, copyright comes into existence automatically when you create something. People may not even know about this...
Blame the laws, not authors.
The phrase "Let it be" is under copyright, too?
I think, we can find any random simple sentence in some copyright sourses.
Everyone allowing these laws to exist at all, by action or inaction on their part, is to share a part of the blame. A small part most likely.
I don't think that the English sentence can be copyrighted. It's very simple and generic. But what about the Japanese sentence?
> But what about the Japanese sentence?
nope, too simple.
