Is it common anywhere in the English-speaking world to refer to someone as simply "aunt", rather than "Aunt [Mary]", "Aunt [Alice]", etc.?
I know this is a literal translation of Japanese, which could either be referring to your actual aunt, or to just an older lady without using their name.
The same goes for the Russian.
