This sentence doesn't sound right to me. I would say, "I had a lot of money", not "I had much money". What do other native English speakers think? (I do see the "OK" tag, but I feel strongly about this.)

I would add, a lot of them are from website which use the tanaka corpus. (maybe a big half of the 50 results), other seems to be from non-english native (interestingly mostly from people located in Asiatic countries)
