Эстнии
?
Добро пожаловать на Tatoeb'у! ^^
Пожалуйста, поставьте точку, большие буквы и букву "о" в слове "Эстония":
В Эстонии есть гимн.
Спасибо!
Demetrius, the sentence was disowned by Milena, I don't know if it was done on purpose or inadvertently. I didn't want to own it, although it seems perfect Russian.
I guess neither Milena nor any other specific contributor is aware of our comments (besides the current users who see them now on screen). So, in order to correct the sentence, I believe you can own it and change all those things mentioned above.
Would it be an acceptable solution?
By the way, the meaning is "In Estonia there is a hymn", right? (or, there is an anthem?).
Thanks, Eldad
I can't change it since I'm using Opera Mini right now. :D
If we are to change it, I think "У Эстонии есть свой гимн" will be slightly more natural. Though the version with "В" is also possible.
I think "anthem" is better. Another possible translation: Estonia has its own anthem.
Thanks, I wholly agree with you. I adopted the sentence now and changed it.
Но флаг у русского предложения всё еще эстонский. Это символично)))
And it really works this way! At some stage Tatoeba might adopt flags not only as the language marker, but also as a kind of context identifier, visual tag or whatever..
Thanks, I've just attended to that :)
Visually, with the Estonian flag it looked better))))
I couldn't agree more ;-)
