    This sentence would normally be phrased, "I am hungry!" On the other hand, when spoken with a certain intonation, the phrasing used here is also grammatical. More commonly, it would be preceded by an introductory interjection, like "Boy", "Wow", "Man", etc. For example: "Boy, am I hungry!" When said this way, you would raise the pitch of your voice on the word "I" and let it drop again at the end of "hungry".
