If I changed the English sentence linked to this
FROM:
If your licence exceeds its validity period then you can be issued with a new licence in the following way.
TO:
If your licence has expired, you can be issued with a new one in the following way.
could you please tell me whether you think it would match?
I think it's fine.
Since they are from Tanaka Corpus, we should ask @JimBreen before changing the English. He's managed both languages on WWWJDIC.
Perhaps it's better just to add your sentence than changing it.

I think it's fine to make that change. It's better than the original, and no other sentences are linked to it.
The Japanese sentence is useful as an example for 有効期間.
@bunbuku, @JimBreen
Nice one. I've changed the English sentence and adopted it. Thanks both of you for your help.
