Not a sentence

@tsp_2 @CK @JimBreen

Does the English sound natural?
Maybe the Japanese would be 暖炉には薪が足りず、早くも火の勢いが衰え始めている.

The English is poor, and not a proper sentence. The Japanese sentence is the only one using 火勢, so it would be great if that word could be kept.

As @tsp_2 has pointed out, the Japanese sentence looks incomplete.
How about changing that to 暖炉には薪が足りず、早くも火勢が衰え始めている?

That change sounds good.

If you change that (do we need two weeks for the owners response first?) is it okay if I adopt (or just change) the English sentence to:

"Without enough wood on the fireplace, the flames are already starting to lose their vigour." aswell.

I don't think there's any need to wait.
Maybe ".... starting to die down." would be more comfortable English.

@wakatyann630
既に@tsp_2さんが指摘されていますが、現状の「薪が足りず、はやくも火勢が衰えはじめた暖炉」は、文として不完全だと思います。提案ですが、「暖炉には薪が足りず、早くも火勢が衰え始めている」に変更するのはいかがでしょう?

@tsp_2
Since the English already has another translations, I think it would be better to add the new one.

The Tanaka Corpus had a number of noun phrase pairs and verb phrase pairs, and was not 100% just sentences.

At this point, the following English sentence does not match the Japanese.

Without enough wood on the fireplace, the flames are already beginning to die down.

Also, "wood on the fireplace" seems strange. We usually say "wood on the fire."

Have the changes happened?
How about adding them as new sentences:
Jpn: 暖炉には薪が足りず、早くも火勢が衰え始めている
Eng: Without enough wood on the fire, the flames are already starting to die down.

@JimBreen

Since there's been no response from @wakatyann630, I've added the sentence for [#10137088] as you suggested.

Thanks.
