I've added どこか because the sentence didn't mention "any".

This does match, though, in my opinion.

有名な庭園に行ったの?
Did you go to any famous gardens?
The "any" is something we often use with plurals and non-countable nouns in questions.

I know "any" always doesn't need to be translated.

However, I feel 有名な庭園に行ったの?is asking whether the listener went to the specific garden.

I suspect that the French refers to one garden, but I'm not sure.
