beim französischen weiß ichs nicht, aber hieße dieser satz auf englisch nicht eher "I like French films better/more than American ones."?

"Ich bevorzuge französische Filme gegenüber Amerikanischen." wäre wohl näher am englischen (und am spanischen)...und genauso ein natürlicher satz.

Ich glaube, dass diese Übersetzung korrekt sowohl für den frz. als auch für den eng. Satz ist.
Wo ist den der Unterschied zwischen "lieber mögen" und "bevorzugen"?
Eventuell ist "bevorzugen" ein etwas gehobeneres Sprachniveau, dann wäre wohl diese Übersetzung die beste.
