Strange enough, but all my English-Russian dictionaries don't mark "womanizer" as an Americanism either.
I noticed before that in Germany and Russia, the reference in English is US. Not for me.
Not sure about Germany, but in Russia most of the generic English<->Russian dictionaries usually mark Americanisms providing the main entry in British English. For example, in my dictionary the entry for "сolor" looks like this:
-----
color
[ˈkʌlə]
амер.; = colour
-----
(амер. = американизм = Americanism)
this is the other way :
colour is British
and
color is US
The same way as behaviour/behavior
Usians tend to simplify spelling, regardless of etymology and pronunciation.
