Hi everyone:
English is not my native language, but I was reading this sentence and I still feel off. Is it correct?

In here there are two different sentences. I mean different meanings or sentences.
If I had taken that plane, I would be dead now.
If I'd taken that plane, I wouldn't be alive now.

I think people could be confused.

what difference of meaning do you make between "If I had" and "If I'd"? and between "be dead" and "not be alive"?

The difference I mention is:
I would be dead now.
I wouldn't be alive now.

We should place then as different translation.

I don't get it...

To be dead = not to be alive

as different translations of which sentence are you talking about?
