Só uma coisa que eu quero que você saiba: não diferenciamos "esse" de "este"... muitos livros vão dizer que um é para perto e outro é para longe, mas o que predomina é "esse". Se quiser apontar algo que esteja ao longe, utilize "aquele"... é o que fiz nesta frase.

Em espanhol há diferença, então vou mudar. Mas o sentido seria praticamente o mesmo se substituísse por "esse" :)

De fato, eu acho que em português vocês quase sempre dizem "esse", então, se vc escrevesse "esse", não teria problema porque acho que tem um significado mais amplio (quase como em francês "ce"), mas "este" acho que não se usa pra indicar que uma coisa não está perto. Por favor me diga se estou errada :)
