This sentence will not be understood by any of Ukrainians living in Ukraine. I actually understood the meaning of it only when I looked at the English sentence. Your version is a pure "English Ukrainian" where you simply take the English sentence and replace each word with a Ukrainian one. Yet, this is not the way translations are done. This resource is dedicated exactly to translation of sentence MEANINGS and not words. For the latter is perfectly done by Google Translation tool.
In addition, Ukrainians do not use the word "річ" the same way as English speakers use the word "thing". "One of the things" is simply "Одне з того, що..." with no "річ" involved.
Agree with aandrusiak - this sentence should probably be deleted as the English sentence already has a few Ukrainian translations and this one is beyond repair.
