Do the English and French match here?
the raising of lambs =l'élevage des agneaux
I'm not a native French speaker, but I guess that the French is concerned about the lambs putting on weight, which is expressed in the Spanish "crecimiento de las ovejas".

I'm not sure I understand your concern here. « élever » = « faire grandir »...

I use « faire grandir » here because it sounds less technical than « élevage » which is the official classification of the industry, as I think this remark has nothing to do with it.
Now it wouldn't be wrong to use it. I just wouldn't myself in this context, which seems to me somewhat humorous.
