** Tatoeba update (September 30th, 2015) **
* Sentences within a list chosen from "Browse by list" now show indirect as well as direct translations.
* When a private message is sent, the recipient is now notified by e-mail.
* The language Tigrinya has been added.
It looks like we also have a re-styled "comment on sentence" e-mail notification messages in HTML format now. Unfortunately, link at the bottom of the message is non-functional due to the absence of <a> tag.
+1
It works for me. Either it was fixed after your note or something is different between our environments. I read my e-mail via Gmail on Firefox on Windows.
It wasn't fixed, unfortunately. Additionally, I found the same problem with "wall reply" notifications.
In your case, Gmail web-mail client seems to recognise the link by its appearance and "activates" it. Regular mail clients doesn't make any assumptions displaying messages in HTML format. This is how my mail client (Seamonkey) displays notification messages:

I use yahoo and it isn't recognized as a link either...
I'm not really fond of the HTML styling. It adds nothing to the old plaintext version.
My mail client now displays an attachment icon and a 'text/html (660B)' dropdown on every message.

Me, too.
This should be fixed now.
