I notice quite often that beginners link their translations to all kinds of languages that are not in their profile. Presumably, it is not so obvious that the source sentence must be on top of the list when clicking the translate-button.
Maybe this issue should be adressed in the quick start guide (Maybe it is, and I didn't find it)
One solution would be to limit the translateable languages to the ones in the users' profile.

The way the input-your-translation textbox hides all the other sentences is a pretty good visual cue, but it certainly isn't enough.

I know I've accidentally tried to add translations to wrong languages, but IIRC the cue stopped me. Maybe that was because the sentences I tried were pretty lengthy. (I couldn't keep the whole sentence in my head.)

I don't have any suggestions on how to improve this though.

This seems to be a solution: https://tatoeba.org/rus/wall/sh...#message_24754
