Schließlich soll jemand, der irgendwann mal "Weiher" in die Tatoebasuche eingibt, ja auch einen Treffer bekommen =).
Du kannst aber wie immer eine alternative Übersetzung eingeben, wenn du möchtest.

Deshalb würde ich hier doch den bei uns öfter auftretenden "Teich" wählen.

- li diris, ke li volas fariĝi sciencisto. (li estas plej verŝajne li).
I think the Japanese sentence this is linked to may be a little odd (it's a "Dictionary verb phrase" sort of example, not a typical sentence, IMO). What would you say to changing the French and Japanese to a command form? (The English already could be in command form)

I don't speak French, but if Babelfish is anywhere near right then it does not match the Japanese, or the Finnish. It looks like the French translation is the one that's (probably) wrong.
@sysko I realise that the translations are not direct, but they are so dissimilar in meaning that I suspect they indicate a serious mistranslation in one of the translations through which they are connected. Unfortunately I don't speak Finnish at all, and Japanese not well enough to check the translation.
Again, I don't see any serious issue with this sentence. There's no great flaw and it's not grammatically wrong. The repetition is used to emphasize the fact. If you like, add an alternative translation and add a "repetitive version" tag or something of the like.
"I've already been here before" yields 28 results on Google, and so the "already... before" structure may not be as wrong as you think. Let's not eliminate the minority here.
I believe the german translation actually means "I look forward to seeing you again".. I think "I'm glad to see you back" would be better translated as "Es freut mich, dich wieder zu zehen"..

"I've already come here before." - One Google hit (that isn't yours) and it's translated from Vietnamese.
"I've come here before." - 81 hits
"I've already been here." - 454 hits (but about half are false positives).
As a native speaker, I don't see any problem with this phrase. The repetition, though present, is not egregious.

In scientific and official texts there's a tendency towards SOV. But in everyday speech it can mean either one.
