This is an experiment. The idea is to make game books where you go to a different page depending on which option you choose. I'm going to start with a very simple one. If you want to do your own post a comment in this thread pointing to the start of your story. Feel free to translate my story into your own (or to even to take over bits of it).
BASICS:
* Take a piece of paper (or open a computer file ;-).
* Write "Maximum life: 5". This is how much damage your character can take before dying horribly at the start of the game. :-(
* Write "Life: 5". This is how healthy you currently are.
* Write "Attack: 3". This is the base value used when attacking monsters.
* Write "Defend: 3". This is the base value used when defending yourself from monsters.
* Write "Level: 0". This figure will increase (eventually) as you improve your skills in adventuring. The 'Level' number is added to your 'Attack', 'Defend' and 'Maximum life' values.
* Write "Experience: 0". Experience points are used to increase your level.
Spend 10 points to get level 1, 20 points to get level 2, and so on (you can only increase one level at a time). Example: Suppose you gain 33 points while playing an adventure. You can spend 10 to become level 1. That leaves you with 23 points so you can spend 20 to become level 2. You then have only 3 points left, and can't afford to become level 3.
GAMES IN DEVELOPMENT:
* Cave Escape!
If you want to play Cave Escape! then go to sentence 483985
