There is a discussion on the German translation. When you ask if there are any ATMs around, do you mean just any ATM, or an ATM explicitly designated as such and set up beside an already existing one by a bank which would, for the most part, not charge a fee for withdrawing cash?
In North America an ATM - (Automated Teller Machine) simple means a bank machine regardless of who operates it. Service charges may vary. On site machines, that are attached to a bank, will accept deposits. Others that stand independently and may be privately owned will only dispense cash. All are called ATM. If German makes a distinction where English does not, then I suggest that you need two German translations or mention both in the one translation.
