Is "Schroeder" the English spelling of "Schröder?"

A web search shows both, and traditionally English doesn't use "ö."

I just adopted the sentence. I didn't write it.

In German an "o" with an umlaut is represented as "oe" in English. So his name, therefore, would be pronounce like "Schrerder" rather than like "Schroder"
