Hey, I was trying to add some sentences in Tarifit just now. So, I looked at the Tatoeba Wiki to find out how to add a new language, and it said that I was allowed to do so as long as it's ISO 639-3 supported, which it is. The language code is ''rif''.
The page also says to just go ahead and translate the sentence using the option ''auto detect'', after which it will automatically default to'' other language''.
My issue is that my sentences were recognized as ''Berber''. While technically Riffian is a Berber language, it's not the same as the official/unified Berber language. So, how do I fix this?

You should have contact me. We do need
- a proper flag
- information about this language ( on wikipedia, for example)
- a public list
I could not find any proper flag. You can leave me a message telling me what would be the best flag that can represent this language.
I tried also to find some information about this language, but I couldn't. Whenever I type "Tarifit" on Wikipedia, it redirects me to this page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarifit (Riffian language)
As a public list is necessary, I created one - https://tatoeba.org/eng/sentences_lists/show/4976. You can add sentences from there also.

(the republic was short-lived and is no longer in existence)
Roughly speaking, Riffian is a variety of the Berber language, of which there are many. It is spoken in Morocco and to a lesser degree in Algeria. There are many speakers in Belgium and the Netherlands and to a lesser extent in other European countries.

You would have to change the language of the sentences to "other language".
But there is a small bug which makes it difficult to set the language of a sentence to "other language": the value that is initially selected in the language dropdown is always "other language". Normally, the value should be set as the language of the sentence.
There is a workaround, which is to simply set the language to some other random language. Then open again the dropdown, and this time you should be able to set it as "other language".
