From my understanding of this project, sentences which are input are intended to be relatively simple sentences which might be heard in everyday speech and sooner or later any written text should be accompanied by a spoken version.

Based on this understanding I am surprised by what I see when I do a search for Spanish text, and then display them in reverse order showing the longest first and working down to the shortest. A great number of the results are not anything near simple sentences but paragraphs and are not anything like I would expect to hear in everyday speech.

Are these sentences going beyond what is the focus of this project?

As a potential provider of audio clips, I'm wondering if I might be expected or encouraged to give much priority to these submissions.

You will find both very simple sentences as are appropriate for a beginner and elaborate ones as may be found in the works of some of the most acclaimed writers, both colloquial and literary sentences. All are encouraged. Longer sentences or posts consisting of several sentences often have the advantage of providing enough context to show how a certain turn of phrase is used, but you are not at all required or expected to give more focus to any kind of submission. You should choose for yourself, depending on what you like. ☺
