@needs native check
“Beside” in this ENG sentence was interpreted in different ways in JPN #163948 and FRA #1711666. Two out of the three English speakers rejected the JPN interpretation while one supported both the JPN and FRA. I also say the FRA only. Please refer to discussions on HiNative:

There is another problem… The ENG #250562 (grand-grandpa) was translated in JPN #163948 (grandma), in IDN #331362 (father), and then in JPN again #3069817 (daughter). This grandma - father - daughter bloodline inherited the same interpretation of “beside” rejected by the HiNative responsers. On top of that, the daughter contains an obvious mistake and it sounds very unnatural to my ears. I don’t see a good rationale why we should keep both the JPN grandma and JPN daughter… Can we just abandon the daughter?
