The multi-keyboard site:
I forgot the address of the site which allows you to type in a language of your choice after selecting your desired keyboard.
I'm not referring to the virtual keyboard site Gate2Home.com.
Could you remind me the URL?
Trying once again:
There was a site I've been using for several times to enter texts in Esperanto, in Russian and in various European languages - using virtual keyboards, but I currently don't remember its URL.
Could any of you suggest several URLs for such site(s), and I'll then be able to find the site I was referring to?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
eble:
http://lingvo.org/klavaro/
kaj surklaku la malhelverdan kvarangulon
maldekstre de la vorto "Klavaro"
Thanks, I don't have a problem with Esperanto (as I have a specially customized keyboard for Esperanto which I use on my Windows 7 platform).
I referred to a site which offered a variety of virtual keyboards, each of them according to the normal keyboard layout of each language - or according to the English keyboard layout.
You can try any of the virtual keyboards available on Chrome as extensions. The advantage is that you don't need another open page.
At the moment I use Firefox more than Chrome, although both are installed on my system.
As I wrote above, I don't have a problem with Esperanto (as I have a specially customized keyboard for Esperanto which I use on my Windows 7 platform).
I referred to a very useful site which offers a variety of virtual keyboards, each presenting the normal keyboard layout of a particular language - or according to the English keyboard layout (for languages with character sets which are not Latin).
I need to remember which site it was, I'm not sure I'll be able to pinpoint it among my bookmarks...
Most of the extensions available for Chrome or Chromium are available for Firefox. 'Google input method' included. The advantage of a browser extension is that,
1. you can right click a word and it will pop up
2. you can tear the floating keyboard (for example, Arabic) and use it on any input field
3. you can define short keys to input letters directly
4. writing direction automatically adjusted
5. combine a dictionary lookup, etc.
Try also http://gate2home.com/.
Dictionary lookups are very valuable, as you hover the cursor on a word or a phrase and it instantly gives you a selection of alternative translations.
Thanks a lot.
I'll give it a try later.
BTW, gate2home.com is the site I've been currently using for Cyrillic, Arabic, Persian and other special character sets.
you should boycott it because they don't support esperanto...
I don't usually boycott international software if it doesn't support Esperanto ;-) However, I do use another software if it's more useful for me.
Don't you remember, by any chance, the site I referred to? I believe its extension was .org, but I'm not sure. It may consist of a string similar to the following: rus.XXXXX.org (for Russian), for instance.
You're great.
This is the site I referred to.
Merci beaucoup !
and it supports esperanto...
