jes, -oble ŝajnas pli bona esprimo.
Tamen, studinte la preskaŭ tutan paĝon de ekzemploj de la uzo de fojo/foje en la NPIV, mi cerbumas, kial kvar foje estu malpermesata.

Mi provas klarigi: la sufikso "obl" estas kvazaŭ matematika radiko, kiu indikas multiplikon, ĉi-kaze: "x4".
"Fojo" estas tute ne matematika afero. Ezemple "La lando pligrandiĝis kvar fojojn" tute ne indikas multiplikon de ĝia areo, ĝi indikas, ke la pligrandigo okazis en kvar malsamaj momentoj/periodoj.
Ankaŭ en la nederlanda estas sama vorto (maal) por "oble" kaj "foje". Kompreneble tio estigas problemeton.
