The sentence is grammatically correct, but "lawa e" translates to "to guide/control" someone/something. I suppose "toki tawa" should work. (Unless "don't treat me like a kid" is meant as "don't give me a therapy for children", which I'd doubt. ;) )
I would place "ala" after the verb: "o toki ala tawa mi ..."
So, "o toki ala tawa mi sama (ni: mi) jan lili" should work.
