Mais cette phrase a-t-elle un sens au présent ? Je n'en suis pas sûr...
Soit il a oublié d'éteindre la lumière et c'est du passé, soit... il est en train d'oublier d'éteindre ? Je suis curieux de savoir si cela a du sens dans toutes les autres langues liées...

C'est exactement mon argument, la présence du toujours (ou autre) change beaucoup de choses.
