J'ai du mal à traduire avec conviction cette phrase (en epo), car je ne saisis pas la différence entre "préface" et "avant-propos", ni en français, ni en epo.

une préface est écrite par un autre que l'auteur de l'ouvrage.
Un avant-propos est rédigé par l'auteur lui-même, et clarifie le contexte de l'ouvrage...

Merci pour cette explication. Je ne pense pas que, jusqu'ici, on ait jamais fait cette distinction en epo.
En attendant votre réponse, j'ai trouvé un petit texte qui va dans le même sens que ce que vous m'avez répondu, mais avec quelques nuances. Je vous mets le lien.
