The name in the sentence doesn't match other translations. Others are Kazuo, but the Japanese one is Saburo.

Thanks. My names dictionary showed 三郎 as a match for Kazuo, but it might be wrong.

I've never read 三郎 as kazuo. :)
Kazuo has many different kanji and I found 三郎 could be read as kazuo. However, I believe it's not so common and most Japanese people would read it as saburo.
