« lourde neige » n'est pas un équivalent commun en français de "heavy snow".
On dit plutôt « à cause des importantes chutes de neige » ou peut-être « à cause des lourdes chutes de neige »
Mais la neige n'a pas de poids en elle-même. C'est la chute qui est lourde...pour les Francophones !
