C’est une bonne question.
Media est le pluriel latin de Medium.
En latin, toutes les terminaisons en -um se plurialisent en -a.
Donc il semble ridicule a un latiniste comme moi de rajouter un s, ce qui signifierait que le mot serait pluriel 2 fois...
Je sais que le latin est de plus en plus oublié et que je vois médias partout.
Il est également vrai qu’en mettant un é, je le francise et que je ne pousse pas la francisation jusqu’au bout en omettant le s au pluriel.
Dans le domaine de la communication et du marketing, on parle de « plan média » qui implique plus qu’un média...
Je pense que comme scenarios/scenarii, ce mot fait partie d’une nébuleuse à la frontière entre 2 langues..
