представить себе жизнь*
Спасибо. ^_^
Dear mtraistoi,
Yesterday you posted the following sentence:
Я не могу представить себе жизни без неё.
I translated it into several variants.
This morning I found out that you changed it to:
Я не могу представить себе жизни без вас.
First, it doesn't conform to the original sentence, from which you translated your own sentence. Actually, you cannot just change it into "без вас" and leave the sentence as it is.
Second, in case you change your original sentence in Tatoeba, you need to let other contributors know that your sentence has been changed, otherwise, the translations made on the basis of your original variant will no longer be valid.
Could you change it back to "без неё"?
Vielen Dank im Voraus!
Aha, now I see that your original German was "ohne Sie". OK, so it has to be "без вас".
I'll change my variants.
Dear Eldad,
it is getting quite confusing, esp., when you click on the German variant, so you can see then one more German sentence with "euch". Both of them aren't "my" originals.
I hope I could make me understandable.
Nichts zu danken.
P.S. Warum kann ich denn nicht meinen Satz einfach ändern, wenn er dem Ausgangstext nicht etspricht? Ich muss den Autor benachrichtigen?! Das wird schwierig, weil ich dann der Autor der Übersetzung bin. Oder welchen Autor did you mean?
Ich stimme zu, es ist wirklich ein bisschen schwierig.
In case you change your own sentence so that it conform to the original, it's hard for you to know whether others have already translated your sentence into their own languages.
In this case, what I suggest you should do is simply post a message, i.e., comment your own sentence:
Geändert:
без неё > "без вас"
This way, if anyone who saw your comment has really translated it before, they will know that they have to change it. Actually, you can follow the history of your sentence if you check on the right side of the screen. I believe you can see who translated it, and into which language.
What I suggest is that you advise other translators of a change in your sentence if it's a significant change. But I know you are new to the project, so I guess it's not easy for you to tell which sentences were translated from your own.
Ja, ich habe alles verstanden, dein Englisch ist ziemlich verständlich.
Ich finde es sehr unfair, Sätze zu ändern, wenn diese schon von Anderen überetzt worden sind. Dann entsteht ja der Eindruck, sie seien falsch übersetzt worden.
