So, what do you suggest?

I've never heard this idiom in the singular, only in the plural ("The walls have ears"), which already exists as a separate sentence (#2376). It looks like there once might have been a comment about this that has since disappeared. My suggestion would be to reword it as "The walls have ears." (in which case the deduplication script will merge the two sentences) or to simply delete it.

I don't mind changing it to "The walls have ears." and letting the script delete it. However, some of the other sentences are an exact translation of it. I'm not sure what to do with them (they will not be linked anymore).

Should we then link all the other sentences to the existing "The walls have ears?"

Another option is just to delete this sentence and let them all remain unlinked. That's the option I prefer, though it has its problems, too.

Alan, please feel free to decide what to do with the sentence - either delete it or whatever. I'm not sure what the best option is.

I followed danepo's suggestion. Thanks, both of you.
