I think 'the foolish' and 'the wise' are collective plural forms here, like 'the rich' and 'the poor'. Basically the word 'people' is omitted.
Although it could perhaps be interpreted either way.

Plural questions maybe?

Apparently, and that's how the German sentence interpreted it.
So now we should do @NNC and @check translation, I guess.
