Should be "determinants", not "derivatives".
I don't know Japanese at all, however, google translate does suggest 行列式 means "determinants", not "derivatives". Can anyone confirm?
Surprisingly, the seemingly independent Polish translation of the same Japanese sentence also says derivatives...
Edit. The Polish sentence has been edited and it's about determinants now.

行列式 means "determinant". 🙂
I wonder if this English sentence is really a good example sentence. Perhaps someone could make something decent out of it?
