Is hot the proper translation for 乙な　? It might be closer to "strange, queer"

'school' is redundant. Two male pupils already implies they go to school/ are students.

1. Is it good to have two sentence fragments?

2. You could use "school boys" instead of "male school pupils". It would be much more natural.
