@translation check
"Wie fühlen Sie sich?" - "Kiel vi fartas?"

is this translation accurate?

MUIRIEL MUIRIEL January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 at 9:14:34 AM UTC link Permalink

I guess it is, but I didn't create the link. Why do you have doubts?

marcelostockle marcelostockle January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 at 4:00:51 PM UTC link Permalink

It's just that I haven't heard "Wie fühlen Sie sich?" could be used as the greeting "Kiel vi fartas?",
I'd personally read "Kiel vi fartas?" as "Wie geht es Ihnen?"

MUIRIEL MUIRIEL January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 at 4:15:39 PM UTC link Permalink

You're right "wie fühlen Sie sich?" is no greeting. If "kiel vi fartas" is always a greeting, than the sentences don't match.

I suggest unlinking
"Wie fühlen Sie sich?" - "Kiel vi fartas?"

MUIRIEL MUIRIEL January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 at 4:42:15 PM UTC link Permalink

I sent a message to Jxan as he added the link.

MUIRIEL MUIRIEL January 11, 2012 January 11, 2012 at 8:17:21 PM UTC link Permalink

Okay, al_ex_an_der already unlinked the sentences. Jxan told me he doesn't think he added the link - maybe a bug?!

marcelostockle marcelostockle January 11, 2012 January 11, 2012 at 8:19:55 PM UTC link Permalink

I was once told:
"... There are legends that in the past, Tatoeba wasn't a graph, but a table. If a sentence was added, it was added as a translation to all the sentences, and only one translation in a given language can exist. So sentences with low numbers can turn out to be ancient remnants of that ancient legendary antidiluvial Tatoeba; and they may be linked not really well."

MUIRIEL MUIRIEL January 11, 2012 January 11, 2012 at 8:34:39 PM UTC link Permalink

As a survival of these times I can confirm the truth of these legends.

But "linked not really well" means that there can be incorrect links belonging to nobody. Not incorrect links belonging to Jxan.
