I think that this translation is wrong.
The word "laid" is the past tense of "to lay",
which is a transitive verb, and it requires an object.

The word "lay" in the other English translation
is the past tense of the verb "to lie", which is intransitive.
I think that's the correct one.

In order to eliminate a wrong translation,
please make yours identical to the correct one.
Then it will be auto-deleted eventually.
