
I mean, if you were really grateful that someone came to your party or something, I think it would be natural to use an exclamation mark.

I was just wondering. There seem to be cases here where members add exclamation marks to their sentences when translating into their languages from English sentences that don't have them, which implies that those languages use exclamation marks more than we do.

Every language has it's own rules about when to use an exclamation mark.
