“Kehormatan” means “respect; honor; prestige” etc., which include social statuses such as academic degrees, knighthoods, award-winners, and professional influence. On the other hand, 顔 in Japanese literally means “face”, and thereby refers to “handsome” or “beautiful” appearance. The English translation “Only looks and money count in this world.” is an excellent translation to capture the nuance of physicality. And “looks” and “prestige” are different concepts in English.

Also, the original Japanese sentence is 顔と金 (attractive face/looks and money). The current Indonesian sentence is “uang dan kehormatan” (money and honor). The order of words is not accurate.

I would like to suggest to unlink this “kehormatan” from the Japanese sentence.

@MsFixer
Seems like I misunderstood. I've corrected the sentence.
