We already have the sentence "Do you speak English?"
There is no need to add it again.

Anyway, welcome to Tateoba! We hope to see more people from the Choctaw nation document this beautiful language here.

Once you register:
Drag your mouse over your username, and you should see a list. Go to "My Profile" first. The top part is not so important, but it would be great to know what county/city you are from, so that we know WHICH dialect of Choctaw you speak.
The important part is the bottom, where you see the "ADD A LANGUAGE" button. Here we need to know which languages you speak, and at what level. Try to be as honest as possible. Once you have done that, you are able to translate :)

Before translating:
Read the guide first:
http://bit.ly/tatoebaquickstart
But the important thing is to FIND sentences to translate. There are many ways
1) You will see a search-bar, and two boxes to the right with "From" and "To" marked above. By default, you see "Any" in both boxes. This is to search our database for sentences containing the words searched for in the search-bar. You can translate all the sentences about a certain theme :)
2) CONTRIBUTE >> TRANSLATE SENTENCES. Since not many sentences have been translated into Choctaw, the top part ("Search for untranslated sentences") will be useless. The bottom part is the best. In the section "Display random sentences", change the 'Language' to English/French/anything else you can speak (I usually change 'Quantity' to 15). Now you will be given some sentences to translate.
3) BROWSE >> BROWSE BY LANGUAGE. Pretty self-explanatory.
4) Use this convenient list of most translated sentences:
http://goo.gl/GldxqF

To translate:
I would recommend starting with number 4, but you may use any method you like. When you have found a sentence to translate, click on the 文A icon above, and a box will appear. Below, there is a list of languages, choose Choctaw, then translate the sentence into Choctaw, and click on "SUBMIT TRANSLATION". Just make sure that the sentence you are translating is AT THE TOP. If you are translating from an English sentence, and there is a Chinese sentence at the top, then you are telling the system that you are translating from the Chinese, and not the English. So if the language you are translating from is not at the top, make sure to click on the arrow to the left of the sentence you are translating.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I can help answer anything :)

Make sure to change the language to English. Click on the flag to the left of the sentence, then a box with the languages you speak will appear. Click on 'English' and this flag will change.

Also, please capitalize the 'e' in 'English'.
