Why "olmasın" instead of "olmaz"? "Olmasın" seems to imply it is directed towards "you." But what if I want to say (speaking or thinking to myself):
"Hmm...I think I will get a Lexus instead of a Hyundai. Why not!"
Neden olmasın?/! = Hmm...I think I will get a Lexus instead of a Hyundai. Why not!/?
Neden olmaz? / Nedenmiş? / Niyeymiş? veya Niye ki? =
- No. You are not allowed to enter this area.
- Why? Why not? Why no? What's the reason?
That's how I would use them in Turkish.
