@translation check
just to make sure,
could a native verify this sentence means both "Happy Birthday" and "Happy New Year" ?

I know (and I've been using) it as "Happy birthday!" in Romanian. I didn't know it also means "Happy New Year!".

"Feliz Ano Novo!" (or happy New Year!)

As I said, I didn't know that. But I'm not a native speaker of Romanian, I only use it once in a while. I'll check that.

Honestly, "May you live to a hundred and twenty" and generic Romanian expression "La mulți ani!" should be unlinked! This type of linked sentences will be the bane of this otherwise helpful website.

Honestly, how, in your opinion, could these two be unlinked when there is no direct link between them?
Why Tatoeba doesn't let you switch off indirect translations althogether is another question.

@brauchinet, sorry, I consider sentences to be linked if they appear as results in the same search. I guess being linked has a different meaning in Tatoeba. From an ordinary user's perspective, I don't want to see a sentence in any language having absolutely no relevance to the other sentences in the result set. It weakens Tatoeba's use as a language learning tool.
