Mi longe dubis, ĉu tia frazo estas erara, aŭ ne. De la aŭtoro de PMEG mi ricevis la jenan respondon:

Oni celas difinitan personon, sed uzas nur "patrino" sen "la". Tio estas esence erara. Aldonu "la", kaj ĉio jam estas ege pli bona. Tamen eĉ kun "la patrino" estas ankoraŭ ne tute evidente, ke temas ĝuste pri via patrino, nur pri konata patrino. Ĉar ne ekzistas kunteksto ĉi tie „mia patrino” sendube estas pli klara.

Jes, vi kaj Bertilo pravas; fakte ekzistas nun du anglaj frazoj unu kun "my" kaj alia sen tiu precizo; estis tiu lasta, kiun mi tradukis unue; ĝi signifis : "une mère (ne konata aŭ precizigita) a fait bouillir dix œufs".
