Can you tell me the difference between "preface" and "foreword"?
In German, both are "Vorwort".
A preface is an introduction to a book written by the author.
A foreword is an introductory essay written by someone other than the author.
The Oxford Dictionary makes no distinction between a preface and a foreword. I just translated a book that had a foreword written by the author. We may have to investigate further:)
Danke für die Erklärungen, Patrick & Dejo. ☺
Ich danke auch.
Nun übersetze mal einer den Satz ins Deutsche! :-)
Even publishers seem to be confused. This is in support of patgfisher's comments http://www.bpsbooks.com/BPS-Boo...d-Introduction
