* انت عايز تقول ايه
or:
عاوز تقول ايه
well that's another way to say it too...
really?
if that is so, how come it hardly produces Google hits?
(is it less often used than the variants I suggested?)
*any Google hits?
I wonder how much egyptian arabic is in written form on the internet anyway...but I can guarantee that this sentence is perfectly natural afaik...I personally use this variant all the time...but can't really comment on how often it's used
(but I gotta admit you've got some guts though :P)
Sorry, I found a lot of occurrences when changing my search string. I didn't search properly before.
(this time I omitted "inte", leaving the rest of the string ;-))
don't sweat it^^
(btw you should challenge me more often :P)
I do - whenever I find anything challengeable... ;-)
just curious, which part didn't sound right? was it قاعد تقول ?
esatto :)
it's really common^^(so you might already know what it means, but just in case)...when قاعد is added to any verb it gives a progressive sense
قاعد تقول
you're saying
قاعد تاكل
you're eating
etc...
Thanks, just learned a new expression in Egyptian (and I was sure I knew everything^^)
long live tatoeba :P
